GDD Steel Completes Overseas Order Delivery: Stainless Steel Plates and Stainless Steel Bars Shipped Simultaneously

2026-06-29

Recently, GDD Steel successfully completed the loading and shipment of an export order. The shipment includes approximately 160 tons of high-quality stainless steel plates and about 90 tons of stainless steel bars. The goods were consolidated and containerized at the company’s warehouse and logistics center, and then shipped by sea to the overseas customer’s facility. The estimated transit time is around two weeks before arrival at the destination port for further production use.

The stainless steel plates in this shipment were packed using standardized palletizing methods. Each bundle was tightly wrapped with multiple layers of stretch film and reinforced with edge protection to ensure structural stability. The stacking was neat and secure, effectively minimizing risks of moisture exposure and impact during long-distance sea transportation. The stainless steel bars were sorted and arranged according to different specifications, then secured with steel straps and anti-slip reinforcement to ensure overall stability and safety during transit.

The customer is an overseas mechanical processing and metal product manufacturing company, mainly engaged in the production of industrial components, structural parts, and precision mechanical accessories. As the customer’s production scale continues to expand and order demand increases, higher requirements have been placed on raw material supply stability, batch consistency, and delivery efficiency. Therefore, the customer chose to purchase both stainless steel plates and stainless steel bars to support multiple production lines simultaneously.

The project originated from a procurement inquiry posted by the customer through overseas channels. Following this, GDD Steel’s sales team established direct communication with the client. During the early technical discussions, the customer focused particularly on surface quality stability, dimensional tolerance control, and machining performance in downstream applications.

Based on the customer’s specific application scenarios, GDD Steel’s technical and sales teams carried out multiple rounds of detailed communication. They provided comprehensive product specification sheets, complete material test certificates, production process references, and relevant export case studies, helping the customer fully evaluate product suitability and supply capability.

Before placing the formal order, the customer conducted strict sample testing for both stainless steel plates and stainless steel bars, including cutting performance tests, stamping and forming evaluations, as well as surface quality and hardness inspections. The results consistently met the customer’s production requirements. Based on the positive test feedback, both parties further confirmed packaging solutions, delivery schedules, mass production arrangements, and logistics details, and eventually reached a formal bulk procurement agreement.

Under this project, GDD Steel was responsible for production scheduling, finished goods packaging, export customs clearance, and all procedures prior to vessel loading. The customer handled ocean freight booking, destination customs clearance, and subsequent logistics arrangements. This cooperation model ensures supply chain efficiency while providing greater flexibility and cost control for the customer.

During the production and preparation stage, GDD Steel implemented strict and detailed production scheduling management and carried out multiple rounds of quality control over key indicators, including surface flatness and thickness tolerance of stainless steel plates, as well as straightness, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish of stainless steel bars, ensuring all products met export standards.

On the loading day, the warehouse, quality control, and sales teams worked closely together to conduct final inspections, including specification consistency, quantity accuracy, packaging integrity, and labeling verification. Only after all requirements were confirmed compliant was the container sealed and dispatched.According to the project team, this order involved a wide variety of product types and a relatively large specification range, which placed higher demands on internal coordination and container loading efficiency.

At present, the customer has expressed a clear intention to further expand procurement volume based on this successful cooperation experience. An additional order of approximately 300 tons is expected, which will be used as long-term raw material supply for new production line operations.
