Post-National Day Holiday: First Steel Export Shipment Completed, GDD Steel Resumes Overseas Deliveries

2026-10-08

On October 8, as the National Day holiday came to an end, GDD Steel’s production and export operations gradually returned to normal. A batch of carbon steel coils, among the first export orders after the holiday, has completed production, inspection, and shipment preparations and is about to be sent to Malaysia for delivery to a local steel processing company. This is also one of GDD Steel’s first steel export shipments following the 2026 National Day holiday, marking the official return of overseas order deliveries to their normal pace after the holiday.

According to the 2026 holiday schedule, this year’s National Day holiday lasted seven days, from October 1 to October 7. After the holiday, the factory, logistics, and export-related operations quickly resumed coordination. At the site, coils of carbon steel were neatly arranged in the storage area, waiting for loading and subsequent transportation. The exported products mainly consist of hot-rolled carbon steel coils, with some coils made of Q235B grade. The main specifications include thicknesses of approximately 5.0–9.5 mm and a width of 1,500 mm. Product identification and specification information can be seen on the coil surfaces. The outer coils are secured with steel straps, while wooden supports are placed underneath to facilitate subsequent lifting, transportation, loading, and unloading.

For overseas steel buyers, specification matching, surface condition, packaging, and stability during transportation are often more important than price alone. Steel coils are particularly heavy, and improper securing during loading or long-distance transportation can lead to shifting or collisions. Therefore, before this shipment was loaded, GDD Steel checked the quantity, specifications, appearance, and packaging of each coil and prepared the cargo according to transportation requirements.

The products are mainly supplied to a local steel processing company in Malaysia. Unlike customers who use finished steel products directly, this customer purchases steel coils and further processes them according to downstream orders through uncoiling, slitting, leveling, cutting, and other operations before supplying the processed materials to customers in the construction, manufacturing, and engineering sectors. For this type of buyer, consistent raw material specifications and processing performance are particularly important. During the purchasing stage, customers usually pay close attention to the steel grade, thickness, width, surface condition, and delivery reliability.

This is also one of the aspects GDD Steel pays particular attention to when serving steel processing companies in overseas markets. For customers who need to further process the materials, steel is not simply a product that is “purchased and used.” It becomes part of a subsequent manufacturing process. Therefore, starting from order confirmation, GDD Steel matches product specifications according to the customer’s actual processing requirements. After production is completed, quality inspections are carried out to ensure that the delivered products remain consistent with the order specifications.

After leaving the factory, this batch of goods will first be transported by domestic logistics before entering the subsequent export transportation process and eventually arriving in the area where the Malaysian customer is located. For overseas buyers, transportation from a Chinese factory to the final destination is not simply a single shipping operation. It is a complete delivery process involving production, inspection, packaging, loading, logistics, and export documentation. GDD Steel also arranges shipment schedules according to different customers’ purchasing plans. For larger orders, shipments can be delivered in batches based on the customer’s warehouse capacity and production schedule. The shipment of this first batch of export goods after the holiday also marks the factory’s return to continuous production and overseas delivery operations. For overseas customers, the ability to resume order execution quickly after the National Day holiday is also practically important for steel processing companies that are arranging their own production schedules.

At present, GDD Steel continues to supply carbon steel coils, steel plates, steel pipes, galvanized steel products, and other steel products to customers in overseas markets. Based on the actual requirements of customers in different countries and industries, the company also provides supporting services such as specification matching, quality inspection, packaging, and export transportation. For customers purchasing carbon steel coils as raw materials for further processing, suitable grades, thicknesses, widths, and processing recommendations can be provided according to the intended application.

The National Day holiday has now come to an end, and new overseas orders are gradually entering the production and delivery stages. For GDD Steel, the shipment of these first post-holiday export steel products is more than simply the dispatch of another batch of goods. It also marks the beginning of a new round of overseas order deliveries. As production, warehousing, and logistics operations return to their normal rhythm, more steel products will continue to leave the factory and be delivered to customers in overseas markets.
